South African Property Fund


Damant Investment is instructed to acquire retail parks and logistic centres on behalf of a South African property fund. Our client intends to invest ca. EUR 150M equity in the European property market over the next few years. The focus will be on retail park and logistics properties. The key characteristics sought are,

  • Locations with a growing population, currently in excess of 40,000
  • Western Germany preferred, however Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin will also be considered
  • Tenants including strong food retailers such as Edeka, Rewe, Penny and non-food retailers such as OBI
  • New-build projects preferred, with with 15-year leases for main tenants and at least 10-year leases for smaller tenants
